Whānau by Donn Ratana of Ngāi Tūhoe.

Donn’s painting depicts a contemporary view of whānau inclusiveness. In this context, everyone, including tamariki are involved in the everyday discussions or important decision making around the wellbeing of any and all members of the whānau. Beginning from a relational and cultural position of connectedness, our collective questions and sense making can bring greater understanding and inclusion.

He aha te mea nui o te ao? Maku e ki atu, he tangata he tangata he tangata.
What is the greatest thing in the world? I say it is people, it is people, it is people.
